Mo… ore Money

Posted by ALmod on April 26, 2006

The News reported today that Roy Moore has collected more in campaign donations for the last round that Gov. Riley. Good for him, I guess. He still trails Riley in the total amount of contributions collected.

What’s more, over half of Moore’s contributions are from undisclosed sources, which makes me wonder if he’s hiding anything…

On a side note, my husband and I had an interesting discussion last night. I thought I was the only one to make this observation, but apparently, he has noticed the same thing. Look at the two pictures below:

Ladies and gentlemen, one of these men is running for public office, and the other is a certain former CEO. Can you tell the difference?

What I would call the perplexed expression on the face of the guy on the bottom (perhaps a significant positioning of photos) may mean that he has come to the realization that when one tries to combine the laws of God with the laws of man, you may end up with a commandment that says, “Thou shalt not covet……the governorship.”.

A quote from The Birmingham News today @ http://www.al.com/news/birminghamnews/index.ssf?/base/news/1146129807248200.xml&coll=2&thispage=2. referring to the unaccounted for money in his report: “Moore’s campaign said that money came from 16,340 individuals.” Of course, how do we know that’s true? Is there any way to make candidates prove such assertions? I doubt it.
