In Other News…

Posted by ALmod on April 4, 2007

Most kids are not affected by violent video games.

The Daylight Savings change didn’t really lower our power bills.  Probably because the high pollen count results in more air conditioner use.

And when cops get bored, bad things happen.

I heard an interesting discussion of Daylight Savings recently on NPR. Basically, the guy they interviewed asserts that DS time is driven more by business interests than energy policy. Retailers know that people are more likely to shop in the daylight, so they want time changed so that there is ample daylight after people get off work at 5:00.

I think it’s pretty funny that we are expected to believe this country is concerned with conserving energy.

I think the woman in Alabama should be applauded for saving energy by using her horse instead of wasting gas driving a car! my question is was she playing violent video games before she did it???
