How Many Bridges?

Posted by ALmod on September 13, 2008

The cool thing about reading FactCheck.org on a regular basis is that I find out about issues that I previously didn’t even know existed.

Apparently there wasn’t just one “Bridge to Nowhere”.

There were two.  And apparently Gov. Palin has continued building on one of them.

“When Congress stripped the earmarks for the Bridges (plural) to Nowhere and instead gave the money to Alaska for general transportation expenses, Palin opted to nix the Gravina bridge but keep building the one at Knik Arm. As former Alaska Gov. Tony Knowles said in a recent conference call with the press, ‘I would say that she said ‘thanks.’'”
